2nd-4th Grade Girls
OVERVIEW
- Players begin to learn the basic skills, rules, and gameplay
- Season begins in February and ends in mid-May
- Two 90 minute practices per week at Snyder Park
- Smaller Field, 8 v 8 (2 defense, 3 midfielders, 2 attack, 1 goalie)
- Five weekend playdays with 2 games per weekend (same day)
- Possibility to Participate in 3 Tournaments
USA Lacrosse’s Philosophy for 2nd-4th Grade Girls:
2nd through 4th grade lacrosse is where young athletes begin developing fundamental technical skills in lacrosse.
With respect to the competition at this level, coaches, parents, and
officials should emphasize:
- FUN
- Good Sportsmanship
- Trying new skills in a team setting
- Learning and exploring overall play of the game
